 Introduction - Heat Media pack


1) Look at the Heat Media Pack. Go to page 2: the Heat mission. Write three things that Heat offers its readers under 'print'.
Heat offers these things to its customers-
-They offer a truly and unique and quality experience 
-And life hacks 

2) Now go to page 3 of the Media Pack - celebrity focus. What does the page say that Heat offers readers?
Heat makes sure that the Heat readers are always in the known and give them conversation starters


3) Now look at page 4 of the Heat Media Pack. What other content does Heat magazine offer its readers aside from celebrity news? They also offer its Heat readers with fashion magazines and life hacks also fitness ands wellbeing and food and travel and homes


4) Look at page 5. What is Heat magazine's audience profile? Write all the key details of their audience here.

1) How are the cover lines written to make the audience want to buy the magazine? Consider the interest/intrigue they create. There is loads of cover lines with different kinds of information  as well as about different people and it all jumps in the readers face making them want to read more after reading the small cover lines 


2) What are the connotations of the Heat colour scheme on
 this particular front cover? 
The heat colour scheme is mainly yellow pink and red They use these so the magazine pops out to the reader it hooks them in 


3) How are images used to create interest in the magazine? Find three reasons for your answer. (E.g. paparazzi images or aspects of mise-en-scene such props, costume, make-up, body position, facial expression etc.) 

In this heat magazine there is a woman as the main character in the middle who is not dressed up and she looks not ready to be on camera which suggest that this picture m ay have been taken without her consent by the paparazzi with the cover line -"Posh caught out, secretive star is accused of lying to everyone" which creates a suspense and it hooks the reader in to see what the woman is lying about . Also as the royal family on the side with a cover line of "Is this Harry and Megan's biggest mistake which also brings interest to readers 

4) What differences can you find between the use of design and typography between Tatler and Heat? List at
 least three differences and explain the effect on audiences. 

The differences between Tatler and Heat,Tatler for its  
title it uses sans serif and the Tatler title is bold and in a white colour for all of there magazines and all the text on the magazines like the cover lines are in white and Tatler has mainly one person on the magazine also Tatler does not use load of bold colours while in the Heat magazines there is a use of bold colours like yellow pink and red which make the magazine stand out and in The heat magazine there is loads of people on the cover stating loads of gossip about different people with lots of shocking cover lines

celebrities are represented negatively as they talk about there scandals and drama about them.

3) How are women represented on the cover of Heat? Think about both images and cover lines here.
woman are represented as negatively as the talk about there drama and scandal 

4) How do Heat and Tatler represent social class? What different social classes can you find in the features and celebrities on the cover? (E.g. middle/upper class / working class) In Heat it is sort of aimed at middle class people like woman around 35-40 and people who like gosssip and drama  however Tatler focuses on Aiming there magazines at upper class people like woman in there 40-50 who like fashion.
