NHS advert csp

) What is an advertising campaign? It is when a business collabs with others to advertise something with the  business

2) What is the objective of the NHS Represent campaign? The objective is to get more young  people from black and Asian backgrounds to become  blood donors  and organ donors for the NHS

3) What does this advert want people to do once they've seen it (the 'call to action')?
They want people to become blood donors and organ donors after being influenced by the campaign

4) Why is the advert called 'Represent'? To show the audience to be proud and become blood donors and organ donors and that u should represent your culture

5) Why have the producers chosen celebrities to feature in the advert? Give an example of three well-known people who appear in the advert and why they are famous - make sure you write their names and spell them accurately. They have used famous people like lady leshurr also an tv presenter and wheelchair basketball player  Ade Adeptian and also as the  MOMBO own founder .They have used these people to influence the audience to follow them and become just  like them if u become blood doors and organ donors to drag them into the campaign

6) What are the connotations of the slow-paced long shot of empty chairs at the end of the advert? To bring out the point  of the advert which was to encourage people from black and Asian backgrounds to donate blood. It also makes the audience feel the pressure due to the music and long slow paced shots it makes then give in more

7) How does the advert match the key conventions of a typical urban music video? One way is by the setting and where it is based -it is based in London in a local area and it is more of a rap but with words to convince people to become blood donors and organ donors from the NHS .Another w\ay is by the way the people were dressed hey were dressed as normally how they would everyday.

8) How does the advert subvert stereotypes? Give three examples (e.g. ethnicity, masculinity, femininity, age, class, disability/ability etc.) It subverts stereotypes like femininity as lady leshurr mentions jobs that are mainly for woman and the we also see the woman all wearing makeup in the video showing the woman were meant to look perfect we also see masculinity through the male actors being presented as doing typical male job .Aswell we also see disability/ability through the male actor who was on the wheelchair

9) How does the advert reinforce certain stereotypes? Could there be an oppositional reading where some audiences would find this advert offensive or reinforcing negative stereotypes?

10) Choose one key moment from the advert and write an analysis of the connotations of camera shots and mise-en-scene (CLAMPS).The use of  the local setting shows the audience that donating blood wont mean that we would have to go far.And the long shots and the music getting slower shows the point NHS is trying to make and it makes them feel the message
